Application Process

What happens when a vacancy occurs?

Our Seaton and Fulham Aged Care facilities will often have a waiting list and an Application for Admission form should be completed and forwarded, together with a copy of the Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT) approval and Statement of Resident Status for Residential Aged Care Providers, to either site. Your application will be kept on file until a vacancy is offered and accepted, unless advice is received from the applicant or his/her next of kin to remove the application from the waiting list.

 

 

What happens when a vacancy occurs?

When a vacancy occurs, our Director of Nursing considers all applications based on selection criteria and the ability of our facilities to meet that person's needs, before offering an applicant a vacancy.

Selection criteria includes, but is not limited to:-

  • The applicant's care needs and the availability of resources to meet those needs.
  • The likelihood of the person assimilating with other current residents.

Our staff would also be pleased to guide you through the application process, which includes the legal requirement to have an Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT) undertake a thorough assessment of the health needs of your loved one before he or she can enter an aged care facility.
