Named after the patron saint of Caulonia in Calabria, Italy, The Society of Saint Hilarion Inc was formed by migrants from the region who ventured to Australia before the Second World War.
In 1955 the first feast day was celebrated in Adelaide for Saint Hilarion which has continued to be celebrated ever since.
In 1987 the community identified a need for aged care in the western suburbs and the first home with 50 nursing beds was built in Lockleys. Since then two more homes were built one situated in Fulham and the second in Findon.
On 30 June 2010, 107 residents previously living at our Lockleys and Findon facilities moved into their beautiful new home at Seaton. The House of Saint Hilarion project has taken years of vision, planning and implementation, but finally we are here!
